Rosmarie Lohnes of Helping Nature Heal Inc. is encouraged by the adult interest in the environment and gardening and looks forward to sharing her knowledge with new and mature gardeners alike. Skilled in landscape design, horticultural therapy, organic landscaping, and restoration ecology, she is involved in several outreach community-based projects as well. In 2009, Rosmarie's efforts received one year's funding from the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia. "After careful review and analysis, by the Provincial Grants Committee," notes their letter of acceptance, "the decision was made to award Second Story Women's Centre the full amount requested. We believe "Gardening for the Soul will enable you to further advance and support the great work you do in your organization every day."
